Milos Curcic: My primary goal is long-term, trusting customer relationships. These don’t happen overnight, but require a great deal of com- mitment, which, however, pays off for both sides and leads to success. We want to be perceived as a reliable partner by the customers we currently serve, to con- tinue on our successful course and to expand fur- ther in the region. Our core markets are wastewater, industry, and oil and gas, with the most important products being rotary lobe pumps and macerators for wastewater and industrial plants. Regardless of the market or product, our focus is fully on customer support. What do you find attractive about Dubai as a location? After the discovery of oil reserves in the 1970s, most countries in the Middle East have developed rapidly in many areas. Wastewater management, on the other hand, is still in its infancy and has not yet been cen- tralized. We firmly believe that this will happen in the near future, and accordingly we see huge poten- tial for Vogelsang here - and especially in the oil and gas sector. For us, the important thing now is to posi- tion ourselves in the market with our offering and our quality. What does this strongly customer-oriented thinking mean for the work of the team in the Dubai branch? What are your current and future plans for the Dubai site? We face the challenge that, compared to other offices, we don’t just focus on one country, but serve several markets in the region at once for Vogelsang Middle East. We can’t have a physical presence everywhere, so we want to create a system that allows us to still be close to our customers, provide the best possible support, and even expand in the long term. We plan to build a network of distributors in each country who will focus locally on sales, service and business development. Regular training in the respective At the moment, the main focus is still on the Middle East region. We are working on establishing new partnerships in Qatar and Kuwait and strengthening existing business relationships in Saudi Arabia and Egypt. As soon as this is completed, we also want to take the next step of opening up new, promising markets with Vogelsang Dubai, and are specifically planning a move to the African continent.
