Vogelsang looks back on a successful anniversary year
Essen (Oldenburg), Germany, March 3, 2020 – Vogelsang GmbH & Co. KG increased its sales by more than 11 percent to 125 million euros in its anniversary year 2019. In addition, the number of employees worldwide grew to over 1,000. Milestones of the past year were the launches of new products in the agricultural segment: the BlackBird trailing shoe system, the ExaCut ECQ precision distributor and the gearless rotary lobe pump.
"The DLG award for our innovative liquid manure spreading and distribution technology confirmed our innovation and technology leadership in the agricultural sector once again. This is also reflected by the awarding of the title ‘Germany's innovation leader’ by the economic research institute Prognos AG," says Harald Vogelsang, Managing Director of Vogelsang GmbH & Co. KG.
Expansion of capacities and the product portfolio
For this year and the next years, Vogelsang is planning further capacity expansions at the site in Essen (Oldenburg), including a new automated bar storage system for the current year for efficient and process-optimized equipping of the CNC production area. For the next years, a spatial extension of the transportation department and the construction of a new small parts warehouse are also planned. In addition, the international branches, for example in Denmark, are also to be further expanded.
Besides the spatial expansion, Vogelsang also plans to enlarge its product portfolio: The latest product development, the universal linkage UniSpread, was presented to the trade public in Spain as a prototype at the agricultural trade fair FIMA at the end of February. The UniSpread is suited specifically for small working widths and can be used in combination with dribble hose systems and trailing shoe systems. In addition, the prototype of the BlackBird trailing shoe with a working width of 24 metres is being prepared to series production.
For the wastewater industry, Vogelsang will be presenting the modified XRipper XRG186 at the IFAT in Munich in May. Other trade fair highlights for Vogelsang this year are InnoTrans in Berlin in September and EuroTier and EnergyDecentral in Hanover in November.
