In order to be attractive, and therefore successful, port operators have to respond to their customers’ desire for environmentally friendly equipment. In addition, they must meet legal requirements with regard to the discharge of wastewater and bilge water. Providing wastewater disposal systems in the port is an important step.

More and more boats are being equipped with wastewater tanks. Vogelsang’s PierPump is the simplest and most reliable disposal solution for these tanks. The most impressive thing about them is their compact design, which means that operators do not have to sacrifice a berth. They are very user-friendly, just as uncomplicated as filling up at the petrol pump. Since the pump is a closed system, there are no unpleasant odors when it is used.

Features of the PierPump

Our products with VX series rotary lobe pumps are constructed according to an ingenious design concept, called QuickService design. This concept makes maintenance and repair of the equipment particularly easy. Systems are available again in a very short time, with downtimes minimized

The design of the PierPump is very compact, giving it a smaller footprint than other comparable solutions.

Our products for the transport sector (rail, bus, and ship applications) are available as either stationary or mobile systems. In their stationary versions, BioUnit, PierPump, and RoadPump are permanently mounted at the designated installation location. Optional indoor and outdoor installation is possible. For the mobile versions, various carrier systems are used that permit use in any location.

The PierPump is a fully enclosed system, with no unpleasant odors being generated during use. As environmental friendliness and cleanliness are of great concern in marinas, this is an important attribute.

Options of the PierPump

To ensure safe operation outdoors even at freezing temperatures and to protect the technical equipment from frost, optional electric heating elements can be used.

An optional operating hour meter is available.

Various alternative payment systems are available as options.

Some models of the PierPump come with a suction lance for vacuum extraction of bilge water from boats and yachts.

For exact setting of usage time, the PierPump can be optionally fitted with a timer relay control.

After connecting the hose to the boat's tank, the pump can be started. Emptying a tank takes typically less than 5 minutes.

Thanks to the special "QuickService" concept, maintenance can be done easily and extremely quickly. A heated housing is available for winter operation. In addition, various payment systems can be integrated

Our systems are versatile. As a mobile system we can offer a PierPump on a trolley. As a solution for large marinas with several wastewater extraction points, we have developed the PierPump multi-station system.
