Liquid manure stabilization
SyreN
- Better use of nutrients thanks to up to 70% reduction in nitrogen losses
- Additional fertilization with sulfur and mobilization of the phosphate
- Increase in yields due to optimized use of nutrients
- Greater area coverage and fewer lanes keep plant damage to a minimum
Stability for the future
Stabilization of liquid manure by acidification with the SyreN system
Like all Vogelsang solutions, the SyreN system is as effective as it is user-friendly in terms of use and maintenance. The positioning of the acid tank in the tractor‘s front hydraulics ensures optimum weight distribution with maximum user-friendliness when it comes to replacing the IBC tank. And, of course, the control offers intuitive operation and can be combined with existing communication elements.
When fertilization meets environmental goals
Liquid manure acidification system SyreN for agricultural applications
Adding sulfuric acid helps to significantly reduce nitrogen loss when applying liquid manure and digestates, and saves on inorganic fertilizer. Since the advent of the German Fertilizer Ordinance, this is now top priority. Loss levels are often high – nitrogen (N) either drains into deeper layers of the soil with the seepage water or leaks out in the form of nitrous oxide and ammonia. In terms of volume, ammonia venting is the biggest cause of nitrogen loss. SyreN is a system designed for attachment to new or used liquid manure trucks. The SyreN liquid manure acidification system ensures optimum nutrient use, as it provides the plants with the existing nutrients under optimum conditions. The loss is identical to that caused by the use of incision technology. However, SyreN offers signification advantages when combined with dribble hose or trailing shoe technology. The increased working width gives a significant boost in terms of area coverage, resulting in fewer lanes and keeping plant damage to a minimum. Of course, this also reduces power and fuel consumption. It also goes without saying that, the system was designed to ensure maximum safety for the user, ensuring that they never come into contact with the sulfuric acid during either the assembly or the application of SyreN. As an added bonus, the chemical reaction also reduces odors – something your neighbors will thank you for!

Maximum safety for your liquid manure spreading
In addition to optimum use of nutrients, we also consider safety in the use of our equipment of the utmost importance,
- Contact with sulfuric acid is avoided when replacing the IBC tank by using a special drip-free coupling
- Personal protective equipment, such as gloves, apron and face shield are integrated in a storage compartment of the front unit
- A two-part water tank allows the system to be rinsed after application

How the SyreN liquid manure stabilization system works
The liquid manure is acidified during spreading via a dribble hose or trailing shoe distributor. In a mixing chamber directly in front of the linkage, the system mixes the required amount of acid into the liquid manure. A pH meter continuously regulates the quantity of acid required. All the parts are acid-proof, from the front tank to the mixing chamber. Aside from this, everything else is just normal liquid manure technology. The driver uses the system to specify the pH value at which they want to lay down the liquid manure – usually 6. When the acid is added, the mixture starts to foam, and its volume increases significantly. This is why it is not possible to acidify the liquid manure earlier on in the process, in the tank.
