With its design reduced to just a few individual elements that makes handling even easier compared to rotary lobe pumps of the VX series, the Vogelsang IQ series is proof that even successful technology is worth redesigning.

IQ series rotary lobe pumps are also equipped with the tried and-tested pulsation-free HiFlo rotary lobe. The unique InjectionSystem makes it just as resistant to foreign matter as it is to dry running – and protects the lobe from damage, thereby ensuring a uniform pumping speed. In contrast to the pumps of the VX series, the pump housing of the IQ series consists of just a single component; it can be dismounted with just a few movements, giving access to the pump elements, while the pump remains firmly screwed into the pipe.

Pumps in the IQ112 series are the ideal solution for when quick maintenance, cost-saving service, easy handling and maximum availability is needed. With capacities of up to 78 m³/h and pressures up to 7 bar, this is the cost-effective and easiest to maintain solution for difficult media such as primary sludge or media containing coarse matter (e.g. contaminated used oil).

The pump IQ152 is ideal for greater capacities up to 154 m³/h and pressures up to
7 bar. It can be used in sewage and wastewater treatment plants as well as for industry applications, where a high availability thanks to reduced maintenance is needed.

Features of the IQ series

The Vogelsang Quality Cartridge stands for modern sealing technology. The mechanical seal in cartridge design is manufactured automatically in the factory, completely pre-assembled and checked by computer. This makes it quick and easy to change on site: assembly errors are avoided and the time required is reduced. This means quick and easy replacement of the shaft seal as well as safe commissioning after seal replacement.

Unlike conventional lobes, Vogelsang’s HiFlo® lobes ensure pulsation-free pumping and consequently longer lifetimes for the drive and coupling. At the same time, the suction capacity is increased due to the higher number of sealing lines. The improved internal sealing enables suction from deep pits.

Larger lobes and pump covers can be installed in the IQ series
without making any modifications; this can increase capacity by as
much as 40%.

With QuickService, Vogelsang’s rotary lobe pumps are very easy to maintain: The lobes, seal, and wear plates can be replaced on-site without dismounting the pump. This saves money and ensures the highest possible level of equipment availability. Long downtimes are cut to a minimum.

Options of the IQ series

Alongside the standard model in abrasion-resistant gray cast iron, versions in ADI and stainless steel are stocked as well. On request, the components of the pump chamber can be manufactured from duplex steel or a nickel-based alloy. Other options for customization include heat treatment and wear-resistant coatings for the wear plates and housing components.

An ATEX-compliant version can be supplied for use in areas subject to explosion hazards.
