Flexibility is the watchword. Vogelsang pumps for the wine industry are successfully used for all processes: From transferring wine from  storage tanks, cooling, blending, to bottling wines and sparkling wines.

Since the wine is not shaken during these processes, it retains its good quality. Vogelsang pumps are also perfect for pumping during racking. The constant flow rate, absence of vibration and quiet operation make it optimal for the most delicate stages. They can also pump highly viscous liquids.

Wine pump VY100

The wine pump VY100 is our smallest model, with capacities from 15 to 300 hl/h and a pressure of 6 bar. This model VY100 is easy to transport in the mobile version. This makes it ideal for using as a main pumping station for small and medium-size wineries, where media are pumped with only a single pump. It fits perfectly to pump wine, liquid must or desestemmed grapes without rasp. Thanks to the QuickService design of the pump, the maintenance needed is done in nearly no time and in a very easy and light way.

Wine pump VY136

The wine pump VY136 is our solution when various processes have to be mastered. With capacities from 60 to 800 hl/h and a pressure of 6 bar it becomes the ideal pump for the majority of the medium-size wineries. It can be used as a main pumping station where all possible media are pumped with only a single pump, as for example whole grapes, must, lees or pomace.

As an alternative it can be used as a fixed pump for bigger wineries, and only for certain applications, for example for bottling or cooling.

The wine pump VX186 is a powerful pump system for the wine industry. With capacities from 250 to 1,000 hl/h and a pressure of 4 bar, it becomes the optimal pump for big wineries. The main application of this model is for transfer grapes with or without stalks. 

Thanks to the high capacity of this model, another application is to install the pump fixed in the winery and use it as where a high volume is needed.

Why you should use the wine pump

The Vogelsang rotary lobe pump has significant advantages over traditional pumps used in the wine industry:

Our pumps are self-priming up to a depth of approximately nine meters, but can operate under dry conditions and up to 10 bar. They can flow in both directions, and solid material up to 40 mm in size can be moved easily. As our wine pumps are smaller and more lightweight than traditional pumps of comparable power, they can also be used in hard-to-reach, tight spaces.

Thanks to the special design of the Vogelsang pumps and its innovative QuickService concept, the service and maintenance is done on site, in nearly no time and can be done by any winery operator.
