Eject foreign matter faster with the Debris Removal System

Depending on the cosubstrates chosen, large quantities of foreign matter can occur in biogas plants. Until now, removal was quite complicated, which is why it pays to supplement the PreMix with the innovative Debris Removal System (DRS) by Vogelsang. It ejects foreign matter separated out while the PreMix is still running. Equipped with the DRS system, the PreMix does not need to be switched off or opened. Compared with conventional solutions, DRS completes the process in one sixth of the time, and can even be partially automated with a corresponding control. In addition, only roughly 15 l of medium is ejected with the heavy material. This not only avoids trouble and irregularities in feeding solid matter, it means that only a little of the suspension needs to be led back.

The Debris Removal System is built to be tough and durable. This minimizes maintenance work.

The medium trapped in the heavy matter separator is returned to the machine via a check valve. Only 15 l of heavy material and medium are discharged.

Thanks to a free passage of 180 mm, even larger heavy material is reliably discharged.

In the basic version, the slide valve is opened and closed using a hand wheel, and the DRS piston is driven by a manual pump.

Manually monitored by the operator, the slide valve is opened and closed using a hand wheel; however, the DRS piston is conveniently operated hydraulically.

Slide valve and DRS piston are hydraulically operated. The entire process is monitored by a control. Only the catcher has to be emptied manually at the end.

A hydraulic unit suitable for hydraulic operation of the DRS piston and slide valve can also be arranged to save space.

The Performance Control Unit (PCU) for the PreMix or RotaCut RCX is set up for monitoring the DRS in automatic mode. Alternatively, a separate Performance Control Unit (PCU) is available for the DRS.

Het Debris Removal System voor biogastoepassingen

Met name in biogasinstallaties ontstaan meestal grote hoeveelheden verschillende zware materialen. Stenen, metalen onderdelen, porselein, aardewerk enzovoorts komen in het proces terecht via drijfmest, maar ook mest en bio-afval. Gescheiden met een zwaar materiaalscheider, kostte de uiteindelijke verwijdering tot nu toe veel handmatige inspanning. Naast het eigenlijke zware materiaal ontsnappen er ook grote hoeveelheden drijfmest of suspensie, die dan weer naar het proces moeten worden teruggevoerd.

Het Debris Removal System (DRS) sluist de gescheiden zware materialen tijdens het verwerkingsproces uit zonder dat het doseersysteem voor vaste stoffen of de natversnijder/scheider hoeft te worden uitgeschakeld en geopend. Het systeem werpt het zware materiaal uit met een minimale hoeveelheid vloeistof (ca. 15 liter). In vergelijking met de conventionele oplossing vermindert de DRS de werkinspanning tot 80%.

Met het innovatieve DRS kan het bedrijf overal worden geoptimaliseerd waar grote hoeveelheden verschillende zware materialen zich ophopen en de onderbrekingen die nodig zijn voor de verwijdering het proces verstoren. Met name toepassingen waarbij een bedrijfsonderbreking onaanvaardbaar is of de stilstand van volgende systeemonderdelen en proceslijnen hoge kosten met zich meebrengt.
