With their simple and sturdy equipment, Vogelsang rotary lobe pumps in the R series are the endurance runners in agriculture. The rotary lobe pumps have a double bearing, a generously dimensioned shaft diameter and a basic selection of sizes, lobes and materials. The R series is particularly well suited as a liquid manure pump around the farm, as a fi lling and draining pump for tankers or as a mobile pump. Like all Vogelsang rotary lobe pumps, the R series is self-priming, very resistant to dry running and can be operated in both fl ow directions. The offset arrangement of the rotary lobes ensures running with low pulsation.
Materials in the R series: The pump chamber for the R series is made of gray cast iron, with good anti-friction characteristics and a strong resistance to abrasive wear. The face sides, which are subjected to greater strains, are protected from wear by high-strength special steel plates.
Lobes in the R series: We have developed special compounds for the elastomer that surrounds the lobe core in our rotary lobe pumps. They make it possible to tailor every pump to the specific medium and guarantee extra durability. We have a range of options available for lobes in the R series, e.g., NBR or FKM.

With the R series, Vogelsang offers sturdy yet powerful pump technology for simple liquid manure technology applications. These rotary lobe pumps have a double bearing, a generously dimensioned shaft diameter and a basic selection of sizes, rotary lobes and materials. The offset arrangement of the rotary lobes ensures that the pump runs with low pulsation. The rotary lobe pumps in the R series have proven themselves especially as classic pumps for liquid manure. The Vogelsang option for reliable use is not only highly resistant to dry running, the R series also allows priming even from deep pits. The reversible flow direction reduces the number of pipes on the tanker, as the rotary lobe pump can be used both on the tanker and as a mobile unit on a base.
As a result, this liquid manure pump can be used flexibly throughout the entire farm. These basic properties make the R series rotary lobe pump an ideal liquid manure pump for agricultural applications.
